Why Use QuickMail?

QuickMail is an outreach solution that works with Gmail, Outreach, and any other inbox provider. While there’s no shortage of outreach platforms out there, QuickMail stands out from the crowd in three essential areas:

Reliable Results

We’ve been industry leaders for nine years.

In that time, we’ve developed pioneering outreach technology like inbox rotation and free auto-warming, all with the goal of helping our users avoid the disruption and revenue loss caused by constant changes to the email ecosystem.

So we understand what it takes to generate consistent results from cold email, adapting our tools and processes to give your campaigns the greatest chance of reaching your prospects’ main inboxes.

That’s why we’ve got a 4.6-star rating on G2.

Expert Support

When it comes to customer support, some outreach solutions are all about closing tickets.

At QuickMail, we’re more concerned with actually solving problems.

We don’t bother with one-size-fits-all suggestions and boilerplate replies because we understand no other business has a workflow that’s exactly like yours. Instead, we take the time to dig into the challenge you’re facing and provide tailored guidance.

Whether you’ve got a basic question, a complex workflow, or an unconventional setup, our experts are ready and waiting to help you execute more successful outreach campaigns.

Of course, we don’t expect you to just take our word for it.

Why Do Businesses Choose QuickMail Over Woodpecker?

Now that we’ve listed the key features of each platform, let’s look at the areas in which QuickMail really impresses vs Woodpecker:

More Than Cold Email (on All Plans)

What Sets QuickMail Apart:

  • With QuickMail, you can boost conversions by building true omni-channel campaigns.

  • View a prospect’s profile, send them a connection request, then follow up with an email 30 minutes later.

  • All of which means you’re not limited to a single channel or the quality of your email data.

How Woodpecker Compares:

  • Woodpecker’s entry-level plan only includes email outreach.

  • If you want to run automated LinkedIn campaigns, you have to upgrade to the mid-tier Sales Assistant plan — and even then, LinkedIn automation is only available through an integration with Dux-Soup, priced at $14.99 per month per user.

  • The platform only allows wait times of a day, so you can forget about building an automated sequence that sends someone an email then follows up minutes later with a connection request.

Automated Email Warmup for Gmail

What Sets QuickMail Apart:

  • All QuickMail plans include a free auto-warmer through MailFlow to strengthen your sender reputation.

  • Once you connect an inbox to MailFlow, it automatically sends emails to other addresses in your network and generates replies, making your inbox look legit and strengthening your sender reputation.

  • Plus, if these automated warmup emails get marked as spam, MailFlow will unmark and reply to them.

How Woodpecker Compares:

Email Deliverability

What Sets QuickMail Apart:

  • At QuickMail, we’re obsessed with email deliverability — that’s why we offer a free auto-warmer on every plan, and why we have individual accounts sending 40,000+ emails per day.

  • Our inbox rotation tool lets you scale campaigns without sacrificing deliverability by spreading email sends across multiple inboxes.

  • We use an approved Gmail API for email sending, reducing the chances of your emails ending up in spam.

  • By randomly generating metadata, we leave a minimal trace on emails, meaning they can’t be bulk-identified or bulk-blocked by inbox providers.

How Woodpecker Compares:

Spend a little time reading Woodpecker’s customer reviews and you’ll see that a lot of users have real issues with email deliverability.

Superior Reply Handling

What Sets QuickMail Apart:

  • With QuickMail, messages from prospects are automatically added to the Opportunities folder, even if the prospect reached out via a new email thread.

  • Replies to campaign emails get assigned to the inbox owner, and can be previewed, reassigned, and triaged — all without removing the bold “needs attention” indicator.

  • Status indicators show you how long each message from a prospect has been waiting for a reply, helping you keep on top of opportunities.

  • CC and BCC replies, snooze, and add labels for clearer accountability.

How Woodpecker Compares:

  • With Woodpecker, reply handling can’t be shared as a team, with no assigning or triaging replies.

  • This means there’s a real risk of missing messages from prospects, which could cost you valuable opportunities.

Reporting and Analytics

What Sets QuickMail Apart:

  • We make it easy to access the email metrics that really matter by including email opens, clicks, replies, bookings, bounces, and more in our dashboard.

  • Send-day attribution helps you immediately identify delivery drop-offs and respond accordingly.

  • Optimize for impact, not vanity metrics, by tracking deals won or lost by campaign.

How Woodpecker Compares:

  • Woodpecker’s reporting and analytics tools are basic, with no send-day attribution, positive reply rate, or unsubscribe insights.

  • We’ve seen plenty of negative reviews referencing the platform’s analytics features:

A/B Testing

What Sets QuickMail Apart:

  • QuickMail’s A/B testing functionality allows you to test as many email variants as you like, simultaneously

  • Dig into all the most important stats for each variant: open, click, reply, and unsubscribe rates.

  • You can also see how many prospects have received each variant, helping you determine the most effective email copy.

How Woodpecker Compares:

  • Woodpecker limits the variants for each A/B test, so it’s harder — and takes longer — to figure out what works best.

AI-Powered Automation

What Sets QuickMail Apart:

  • QuickMail’s AI reply categorization, available to Pro and Expert users, automatically determines the sentiment of your campaigns — so you don’t have to tag each reply individually.

  • With sub-campaigns, you can automatically send follow-ups based on how the prospect replied — so a prospect can be “paused” in their current campaign and moved to a custom sub-campaign with a specific follow-up based on reply sentiment, all without you lifting a finger.

  • If a prospect wants to unsubscribe, we’ll handle it for you, so you can focus all your efforts on real opportunities.

How Woodpecker Compares:

  • Woodpecker is seriously lacking in AI automations for follow-ups and unsubscribes.

  • While it does basic “positive / neutral / negative” sentiment detection, it doesn’t truly understand what’s going on with a reply — is it a booking request or an out-of-office notification? Are you speaking to the wrong person?

Scalable Pricing

What Sets QuickMail Apart:

  • We believe in keeping pricing simple — that’s why all our plans include clear sending limits and a set number of active prospects.

  • Scale up as you need, from 30,000 monthly emails and 10,000 active prospects on our entry-level plan, to 300,000 emails and 100,000 active prospects on our Expert plan.

How Woodpecker Compares:

  • Woodpecker’s pricing is a little more complex because it’s based on the number of prospects “processed” in a campaign per month.

  • Every time Woodpecker performs a first “action” for a prospect — like validating an email address, sending an email, or running a task — it counts against your monthly allowance.

  • Its cheapest plan only includes 500 actions — so if you need to validate 500 email addresses, you can’t send any emails that month. What the heck?!

Woodpecker vs QuickMail: Price Comparison

Instantly and QuickMail price comparison

A one-person business consultancy has totally different needs to a SaaS startup or a large lead generation agency.

For that reason, QuickMail and Woodpecker offer a range of plans aimed at businesses of different sizes and at different stages of their growth journeys. Let’s dig into each platform’s pricing tiers and what you’ll get for your money.

(All pricing information correct at time of publication.)

Entry Level

QuickMail’s Basic plan costs $49 per month, with no minimum-term contract. It includes up to 30,000 emails per month, up to five email addresses for sending, up to 10,000 prospects, and unlimited team members.

Customers can access all the essentials they need to run cold outreach campaigns, plus advanced features like A/Z testing and scheduling automation. They also get an account dashboard incorporating campaign-level stats — essential for optimizing performance.

Woodpecker’s cheapest plan, Cold Email, starts at $29 per month, and the pricing page indicates you can connect unlimited users and email accounts. Sounds too good to be true, right?

Unfortunately, it is, because you only get 500 “contacted prospects” per month for that price.

According to Woodpecker, a “contact” is simply any first action that the platform carries out for an individual prospect. So if you validate a new prospect’s email address, BOOM, that’s an action.

On the plus side, only the first action per prospect counts, and follow-up emails are free. But if you want to reach 2,000 new prospects in a month, it’ll cost you $67 per month (a bit outrageous compared to the QuickMail $49 basic plan with 30,000 sends).

Oh, and if you need to integrate with tools like HubSpot, Pipedrive, and Zapier, you’ll have to pay a further $20 per month.

Not so cheap now, is it?

Mid-Tier

Priced at $89 per month (again with no fixed contract), QuickMail’s mid-tier Pro plan allows you to send up to 100,000 emails monthly to up to 50,000 active prospects from 20 different email addresses.

It includes all the same stuff as the Basic Plan, but with a bunch of additional functionality, including advanced analytics and native integrations with HubSpot and Pipedrive.

Woodpecker’s mid-tier plan, Sales Assistant, starts at $37 per month and includes LinkedIn, calls, tasks, and SMS messaging — all the stuff you need to run omnichannel outreach campaigns. Although automated LinkedIn campaigns require an integration with Dux-Soup, which will set you back at least another $14 per month.

Just like with its starter plan, Woodpecker charges for “contacted prospects”. Paying $37 per month only gets you 500 of them, and the costs really ratchet up from there. For instance, you have to pay a shocking $235 per month for 10,000 monthly contacted prospects (i.e. first actions per prospect). That’s over 2.5X more expensive than our Pro plan.

And you still get charged an extra $20 per month to integrate with Zapier, HubSpot, and Pipedrive.

Premium

At the upper end of the scale, QuickMail’s Expert Plan costs $129 per month with no minimum term. For that money, you can send up to 300,000 emails a month, have 100,000 active prospects, and leverage 50 different email addresses.

While all our plans offer all the essential features you need to run high-performing outreach campaigns, our Expert Plan offers a bunch of advanced extras — including API access and automated follow-up campaigns launched by AI based on the recipient’s response.

Woodpecker’s premium Agency plan starts at just $59 per month, including unlimited team members and email accounts.

As you probably guessed, things start to escalate from there. The base Agency tier only includes one active client, 2,000 stored prospects, and 500 “contacted prospects” per month — it’s hard to imagine that’d be enough for any agency.

To add more active clients, you have to pay a further $27 per client per month. So with just five active clients, your monthly price ramps up to $167 — that’s 29% more than QuickMail’s comparable plan.

And that’s without the obligatory $20 per month fee for integrations, or upgrading to a reasonable number of monthly “actions” (like validating and sending emails). All of which comes as standard with QuickMail.

With all those bolt-ons and price tiers, even a small agency could easily end up spending hundreds of dollars a month on Woodpecker.
