6-Step Sales Email Sequence Template to Get Replies

In this section, we’ll show you an example sales email sequence template that you could send to a real prospect.

Make sure to edit the templates to fit your unique business, customer type, and product or service – that’s the only way to stand out in the inbox. When you’re ready to start on your own campaign, use QuickMail’s cold email software to send personalized sales email sequences at scale.

Now, let’s take a look at the sequence.

Email #1: The Introduction Email

Your first email is there to let your sales prospect know who you are, why you’re reaching out, and what the benefits are to them of reaching out.

It’s important to start the email with a personalized opening line – this proves that your email is specifically targeted at that person and will show them you haven’t just thrown them on a generic email list.

Email #6: The Sales Breakup Email

When writing sales breakup emails, Jack Reamer, Chief Lead Generation Officer at Salesbread says: “I consider if I’ve said everything I can possibly think to share with this prospect before I’m ready to say they’re not ready.”

In this email, you’ll recap why you reached out in the first place and let someone know that it’s the last time you’re reaching out. This ultimatum can be enough to generate a reply and get more leads from your sales email sequence.

How Long Should a Sales Email Sequence Be?

There’s no strict guidelines on your sales email sequence length.

We’d recommend keeping your sequence between four to seven emails in length.

If you’re sending more emails than that without a response, there’s a strong chance that your prospect isn’t interested and by continuing to reach out, you risk having them mark your emails as spam.

You can automate your follow-up email sequence using QuickMail. After the first email in your campaign, add a delay, and then add your next email.

Your follow-ups will keep sending until a sales prospect responds, or, your sequence ends.

Creating Sales Email Sequence Templates at Scale with QuickMail

Once you have a list of sales prospects to reach out to, you can start reaching out to them using QuickMail.

First, import them and confirm that every detail about them is correctly imported. This matters because these attributes will be used in your sales templates.

Once your prospects have been imported, it’s time to create your campaign. Give it a name, and then write your first email of the sequence.

As you write your template you can include attributes in your template. These will automatically populate with the data on your prospects when the email sends, resulting in every email being completely personalized.

After your first email, add a Wait step and choose your delay.

We recommend two to three days at first, with longer delays as you progress through your campaign.

Then, write your follow-up email.

When your campaign is ready, you can see a final overview and then set it live.

Once your campaign is running you can monitor your replies in a shared Opportunities inbox.

Everyone on your team can quickly check whether your prospects have replied, if anyone else on your team has been involved in the conversation, and when the last activity on the conversation was.

You’ll also be able to track your key email sequence metrics in your campaign dashboard so you can track whether or not your sales email sequence is working as planned.

You can send 3,000 emails per month on QuickMail’s free plan, and add up to 10 team members to help you organize your sales sequences.

If you need more advanced automation tools, the Basic and Pro plans have you covered.

Create your first sales email sequence template in QuickMail today and start getting replies from qualified prospects.
